Wanna win some rubbah? Makeup 4 the Weekend #37

Stash It!!  That's this week's challenge brought to us by one of our new DTers, Anita (Hovey Hut).  Anita challenges us to make a collection of cards to put in our stash.
I don't have a new sample to show you (new baby puppies are lots of work!), but here is a set I made a bit ago, and I'll have a fresh set soon.

Anita used the Tweet Things set.
Wanna see more?  Check out some more great samples from the DT
So, are you ready to get inky?  Are you inspired and ready to play?  Well since the Boss is away and having a fabulous time at CHA... I think we should give away some rubbah!  What do you think?  You can win a single stamp of your choice, all you have to do is:
  1. Do the challenge
  2. Use PMS images (stamped or digi)
Easy peasy, huh?  Well, what are you waiting for?  Link up your creation by midnight on Wednesday to be included in the Thursday Showoff and to be in the drawing for some free rubbah.  While you don't have to use Paper Makeup Stamps to play in the challenge, you do need to use them to be entered in the drawing.  Don't forget to mention the challenge in your post, and if you are posting to SCS or PCP use the key M4TW37.  Be sure to link directly to your post.  Thanks for playing!  Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Here's your Thursday Showoff...

Happy Thursday!  While Katie is off at CHA, I'm at home making blog posts... hmmm somethings wrong with this picture, lol!  But, while the boss lady is away...  Ok, back to the good stuff.  I think yall are taking off the same week I was from stamping that I am... not many of you played last week.  It seemed a little tough, but once I got going it was really fun throwing graph paper in my card!  Well I missed seeing some of your creations, those that played did an awesome job with this fun challenge.  Here is your Thursday Showoff!   See you tomorrow for another for another Makeup 4 the Weekend Challenge!

Don't forget to order your Will to Day Dream kit, here.  Once they are gone, they're gone!

Summertime and the Day Dreamin' is ea-sy....

Want some more Day Dreaming eye-candy??  Look at what Michelle did with the kit... that diamond patterned strip, it's part of the paper!  How fun is that?  Will look's like he is quite cozy Day Dreaming in the grass!

I love how Danni sponged some grass around Will here.  Isn't that cloud paper just too fun?

The Will to Day Dream kit is available now in the PMS Store, once the kits on hand sell out they will be gone!  Want to see  some more samples made with this kit?  Just scroll down.  Thanks for stopping in, have a great week!

Catching some rays with day dreaming...

Hello Everyone! We have another fabulous sample of the brand spankin' new "makeup" card kit, The Will to Daydream!

Check out the fantastic card that senior Paper Makeup Artist, Lisa Kind created!

I adore how she put him on a beach towel using one of the other patterned papers in the kit! Sheer genius!

Now if you've been paying attention this week you've seen some other fun samples using this kit, but just in case you havent... you may want the 411! Every so often, PMS releases a card kit called a "makeup kit". The kit creates 8-16 cards depending on your card style, and even then you might have some leftovers. The kits include top notch quality items in current colors and trends and of course, coordinates with all the items in the kit perfectly. There are also exclusive stamps included in the kit! What does that mean? It means the stamps are not available for purchase on their own in the store, and won't be so long as their are kits available to purchase. The stamps MAY be released at a later date, but then they may not. So if you are loving the stamps, you should get the kit! The kit is priced UNDER retail value AND you get a $5 voucher good towards a future purchase! So there's nothing to loose!

You can purchase the kit HERE!

If you have missed some samples made with the kit... scroll down to previous posts from this week!

More Day Dreaming...

Oooohhhhhhhh aaaahhhhhhhh!  I can just feel the relaxing summer day with this!  So serene and relaxing... all the stress just melting away.  Sorry for the late post, apparently I hadn't had enough Latte's and fell asleep on the job, lol (oopsie)!  This is what Tina came up with from the new The Will to Day Dream kit (available now, in limited quantities at the PMS Store).  This kit is chock-full of boy inspired fun (and we all now how hard great boy stuff is to find)!!  Once this kit is sold out of the store it will be gone.  In addition to, the only way to get Will is through this kit, as of now is not available in the store on his own... he become available later, but he may not!  Come back tomorrow to see Lisa K's take with the kit... until then, have a fabulously inky weekend!

Meet this moths Guest Artist...

Jane Wetzel (anything but Plain Jane).  I absolutely LOVE Jane's style and her coloring is phenominal!  See for yourself...
Look at the "sponging" around Caliope with a Flower.
Here she uses Dandy Wishes...love this tag!
This is a very sweet card using Oo La La!
We had a few questions for Jane,
How and when did you get started in Stamping?
I have always loved art and started stamping a very long time ago, on and off.  Then I went to an SU party and took off.

All Stylists have a "go to" accessory or tool... what's yours?
My "go to" tool or accessory is probably one of my border punches... I LOVE PUNCHES

Where do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration looking at all of the amazing blogs online and really just art everywhere you look in life.

What drew you to PMS?
I saw PMS online and thought the images were so darn cute!  Then I found Katie Cotton was going to sponsor a Copic Creations challenge (where I am on the DT) and I was so excited!  She is one very talented lady.

What is your favorite color palette?
My favorite color palette?  tough - I guess I love all shades of tans, oranges, dark blue and violet.

When you aren't stamping, what do you like to do?
When I am not stamping I am a mother of 4 grown children and 2 dogs...a pug and a rottweiler.

Tell us something, not stamping related, about you...
I love to walk and ride my bike and  I am also attending the Cleveland Institute of Art - a suprize gift from my wonderful dh last year!  I work at my parish church as the religious ed. coordinator for the children (love them!) and I LOVE hanging out with my 2 adult daughters (my best friends) :)  I am also looking forward to my oldest son's wedding this October!

Thanks Jane for being our Guest Artist for July... your creations are so inspiring!

July Release in Review - the Final Day!

Today is the final day for the Release in Review! Can you believe it?
You have until tomorrow night to use the Blog Hop code to save an additional 15% off your new releases.

Quick website note... we are still getting some error messages to our dismay! They are getting better, but we are still hunting out the source of the problem. If you get an error message, just click refresh and the site should return you to the page you were trying to get to!

Today we're reviewing the Beauty Sets...
As mentioned yesterday, we have a fabulous bundle called "Everything a Girl Needs".
All of the sets being reviewed today are in that bundle!
And, even though PMS is known for some good pricing on stamps for the size of the set you get, this is a RIDICULOUS savings! $30 for an entire sheet of red rubber that is just full of girlie goodness! Check out the bundle HERE. The image you see is exactly what the sheet will look like.

Without further ado, here is the review!

side note, this is Dawn's blog hop card, i didnt have a card for this set and i wanted to make sure it was shown as well! :D But didnt she do a fabulous job and you know you wanted to see it again! :D

Release in Review, day 4

It's another day for our July Release in Review!

Today we're reviewing the new set, Retail Therapy!
Now before we see the goods, i wanted to mention again a little something about this set!
One, it is LARGE and crammed full of wonderful shopping images and sentiments.
Though the set is over 30 sq inches in size (i said it was big!) it retails for only $15 as bare rubber. It is also available on EZ mount and as a digi set! But thats not all! It's also included in the Everything a Girl Needs bundle which sells for only $30, over 30% off it's price if you were to buy all the sets separately!

Ok, so thats the business spiel side of things! Now let's look at some cards from the Paper Makeup Artists to see what fun this set can be!!! Paper piecing seemed to be the theme today from the Paper Makeup Artists! Of course you do not have to paper piece this set... but look what fun it can be!

Below Maria Gurnsey has paper pieced the dress image to PERFECTION! And the sentiment used, oh it's so me!

Tangii Crain has also chosen to paper piece this cutie purse image. But you see her shopping bag DP? Well she stamped that using another image from the set, she's a genius! And i must say, i'm loving her color choices!

Danni Bindel has paper pieced each and every one of the shoe boxes! Now i already own a lot of shoes, but if they all came in such cute boxes, i bet i would have more!

Last is my own card (Katie Cotton). I opted to mix up both the digi and rubber set! I took the shoe from the sentiment in the digi set and enlarged it by a lot! Then i printed it out right onto my designer paper and printed it again just on white so i could fill in the inside of the shoe with not polka dots! The sentiment is the rubber version!

So there you have it! There are images and LOTS of sentiments that were not reviewed today because well... this is a big set! But you can check them all out HERE!

Have a wonderful day!

Release in Review, day 3 and a WINNER!

Well it's a dandy day!

A dandy day for a review of Dandy Wishes!

Dandy Wishes was illustrated by Lindsay Spencer. It comes with a total of 9 images!
This set has everything you are wanting in a dandelion set! Just check out these awesome creations from the Paper Makeup Artists!

Let's break down the images in the set...

First there is the largest stamp, filling an entire card front OR perfect for a scrapbook layout, altered item and just about anything else you can image!

You'll notice above that Lisa has made her sillhouette even longer by adding a more condensed version of the image (perfect to add on to the scene, or in the scene, or by itself, making many many options!) You'll also notice that both of the Lisa's used the sentiment Make a Wish which is included in the set.

This one is made by me (Katie)
You'll see here i stamped the condensed silhouette on a separate piece of cardstock, but then added it into the scene. Again... lots of options! I have paired the set with a sentiment released previously from PMS which you can find here.

Below, Anita has taken the condensed silhouette away from the larger silhouette, showings it's use as a solo stamp!

She has also used a previously released stamp, but as a digi was able to shrink it to the perfect size for her card. You can find both the rubber and digi version of this sentiment, here.

But wait... there's more! As you can see in the above image, the cutie designer paper Anita has on her card. Well she STAMPED that! Using 2 smaller stamps in the set that are separate seedlings! They also match another large stamp that you can see below.

Card by Christi Snow

And then last but not least... 3 more stamps to show you!

Below is the larger of the heart dandelions! It has a super cute heart in the center with the small phrase, dream big! Also on the card, it the other sentiment included with the set. The word wish with a dandy in it! Precious!

And then there is a smaller heart dandy, no heart in the center, but still a great size for a card!
Here stephanie has used the before mentioned Birthday Wishes sentiment, but the rubber version so you can see the stamp size.

Thats all for today's release! But one more thing... we need to announce the winner of the secret gift certificate hidden during the blog hop!

Our gift certificate was hidden on Maria's blog (chosen by random.org) and comment number 29 is the winner of a $25 gift certificate worth of stamps of digis...

drum roll please....

Ashley Newell!

How's that for not shopping (sorry, you'd have to have been at the release party to get it!)

Congrats ashley, please email me at Katie@PaperMakeup . Com!!!
